Afternoon, Scorefrom, la. My predictive text suggested Skyrim, which is a new one on me, ha, ha. I'm not bad thanks, mate. Still can't fully shake this cough off, like. Had it since before Christmas. It's a bit like one of those annoying berks one comes across in pubs, now & then. Ye nar the sort. They approach uninvited, pester the life out of ye & eventually, after a period of tolerance, ye tell them to leave you the fuck alone. And they do. For a while. But every so often they keep coming back fer mare....

How's ye gnasher, there, @Spam Javelin la? Hope it's sorted. Might hev ter resort ter the owld string/tuth/door handle combo, marra.

Good luck on the return journey to City of Granite, Dilly, la. That 3 weeks seems to have flown by.

Blarn a gale with a canny few skitey bits & light sna flurries hoyed in so it'll be positively balmy at the SoL the neet. Sorry, barmy.

We'll need to defend well against their set pieces & someone will need to get a grip on Wilbraham, who's a dirty fucker but he can still play a bit anarl. Rathbone & Camps aren't bad either & owld Henderson can still find the net. So long as there's no complacency, we give 100% & keep garn ter the end, there's nee obvious reason why we can't get a good result. Here's hoping.

Hope everything gans ok, Red, la (whatever the steps are) & keep garn, Wakey, la. Give 'em some iron (jelloids?) or at least get the ironing done.

Enjoy yasels. Stay thawedful (fully thawed) at the SoL....

Maybe a trip to the docs about your cough.
It's gone on long enough, mate.
I've been singing the praises of the kid, Oliver Rathbone, from the time he had a cracking game against us, at Rochdale.
I know one good game against us isn't the sign of a world beater, but he had something about him.
He's got a cracking engine on him, and he's always busy and looking to make things happen, (a bit like the diminutive midfielder Taylor, at Doncaster)
We struggled to cope with him, at their place, and it was a relief when he was surprisingly subbed.
Definitely a player I'd like us to sign, though the only thing missing from his game, is goals.
Have a good day mate, and enjoy the match tonight.

Afternoon Mr Clough

All well I hope

We was chatting last neet & decided it was a good job I gave up that contract. My time has been needed at home really. In fact it’s been difficult to keep up with my other “employee” contract tbh
I’ll deal with income later 👍

You too, marra. Yes, we need either Dobson or Power (or Scowen, if he gets a run out) to keep young Basil on a tight leash.

My late fatha in law was a consultant whose favourite universal, medical saying was: it'll either get better or it'll get worse. I've followed his sage words over the years & can report that, from personal experience, he's not wrang, ha, ha. Thing is, with a virus, there's nowt anyone can dee. Yer body has to beat it into submission. It can become a war of attrition. Viruses are undoubtedly becoming stronger: natural selection & survival of the fittest played out every day on a micro level inside our very own bodies. Quite exciting, really, ha, ha.

I see you'll be listening along with B & B the neet. I'll give Benno a good run fer his money in the 1 mile Coughing Stakes, on the all weather track, sponsored by Benylin.

My gut reaction is "wise move, Wakey". I did a similar thing a few years back & have never regretted it. Essentially, trading off money & aggro for time & contentment. Probably the best bit of business I ever did. Now I'm relatively poor, but relatively happy, ha, ha.

Aye, cheers, me owld marrakeet. I appreciate your kind concern but I'd rather wait until either it gets better, or it gets worse. The good doctor reckons it's not cancer (she specialises in children with hearing problems, so she's obviously an expert) but, by the same token she also said (in her expert orthopaedic opinion) years ago that there was nowt wrang with me knee & I needed to toughen up. She was close, as I arnly hed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, so I was making a bit of a fowa course meal of it. So, if she opines that there's nowt wrang with me, she's clearly right & I'm happy with that.

I'm even thinking I might have to wear lang strides the neet. Anar, it's the fust time since last season when I once caved in, anar I'm a wuss, but we'll see.

Aye mate. Mebbes ditch the flip flops and go with sandals hoggers and string vest. Oh and a dut in case it snars.

My standard match clobber - all weather conditions, with slight variations - is a somewhat singular melange of shorts, ankle socks, trainers, slightly Russian looking fleece hat, prescription sunglasses, weather-appropriate under layers & garments & anorak. Optional extras are Stirling Albion scarf & black strangling gloves. If the ambient temperature drops beneath -20C or exceeds 20C, appropriate changes might be unilaterally invoked.
