February 11th live footy on tv

My standard match clobber - all weather conditions, with slight variations - is a somewhat singular melange of shorts, ankle socks, trainers, slightly Russian looking fleece hat, prescription sunglasses, weather-appropriate under layers & garments & anorak. Optional extras are Stirling Albion scarf & black strangling gloves. If the ambient temperature drops beneath -20C or exceeds 20C, appropriate changes might be invoked.
I had me Stirling Albion scarf on on Saturday. A fine accessory for the discerning supporter imho.

You too, marra. Yes, we need either Dobson or Power (or Scowen, if he gets a run out) to keep young Basil on a tight leash.

My late fatha in law was a consultant whose favourite universal, medical saying was: it'll either get better or it'll get worse. I've followed his sage words over the years & can report that, from personal experience, he's not wrang, ha, ha. Thing is, with a virus, there's nowt anyone can dee. Yer body has to beat it into submission. It can become a war of attrition. Viruses are undoubtedly becoming stronger: natural selection & survival of the fittest played out every day on a micro level inside our very own bodies. Quite exciting, really, ha, ha.

I see you'll be listening along with B & B the neet. I'll give Benno a good run fer his money in the 1 mile Coughing Stakes, on the all weather track, sponsored by Benylin.

Good news, Spam, la.

My gut reaction is "wise move, Wakey". I did a similar thing a few years back & have never regretted it. Essentially, trading off money & aggro for time & contentment. Probably the best bit of business I ever did. Now I'm relatively poor, but relatively happy, ha, ha.

Aye, cheers, me owld marrakeet. I appreciate your kind concern but I'd rather wait until either it gets better, or it gets worse. The good doctor reckons it's not cancer (she specialises in children with hearing problems, so she's obviously an expert) but, by the same token she also said (in her expert orthopaedic opinion) years ago that there was nowt wrang with me knee & I needed to toughen up. She was close, as I arnly hed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, so I was making a bit of a fowa course meal of it. So, if she opines that there's nowt wrang with me, she's clearly right & I'm happy with that.

I'm even thinking I might have to wear lang strides the neet. Anar, it's the fust time since last season when I once caved in, anar I'm a wuss, but we'll see.
I did it years ago as well, when we moved down here for fam reasons I turned down very well paid jobs in London but it meant leaving T with 3 littleish ones & no fam support and lengthy commute ( in time terms).
This one was like a haymaker from behind whilst having a piss 😩🙄
Smart looking scarves.
My mate Eamonn, was sporting one, a few months ago.
They're this years, "must have" fashion accessory, as seen in all good fashion houses, of Paris, Milan and Pennywell. :D
Ya missed off Easington & Marley Potts 🤭

Wakey, I haven’t a clue what is going on in your life but hope it all ends up well. I did some graft this morning and thought the wind was getting stronger as the day went on. My son has been working in Jedburgh and said it’s been snowing all day where he is but only laying on the tops.
Nevertheless he is setting off for home early doors.
Dilli, hope your stint away goes well.
Anyone going to the game tonight, it will be freezing, wrap up.

I was gonna add Easington Colliery, but plumped for Pennywell, instead 😉

Ooph. That's simply not on, old sport.
That was a difficult day but I got what I wanted sorted out for now. This match better be decent tonight as I need to find the energy to go.
Either way, it'll be a chance to bla off a bit steam, Red, la, get the hots for Griz whilst getting chilled to the bone. Then a nice, reviving hot chocolate or Horlicks or, if yer lucky, a hot todger!

Someone off here going to say hello to me in real life tonight. I hope he doesn't read that last bit and get the wrong impression
