They were never going to buy any of the loaned players and the hierarchy know that before they even join, its a much cheaper option to keep their heads above water over the last 5 years.

Even Yedlin was a no go for them which is crazy really.....That is why they have been in so much shit as every year they need to replace 4 players or so from the off once the loan players go back to their parent clubs, its player turnover year on year

Considering we never had the option to buy either Alonso or rose, because their parent clubs knew they were good players.

Atsu on the other hand has been shoved out of everywhere he's been for not being good enough.

Also considering Matthews and love combined cost no more than £1.5m, good comparison.

Don't underestimate the lack of depth in the England player selection pool.

If a fifth choice goalkeeper can get a few callups there's time yet. Just remembered Steven Taylor has also had a England call-up :lol:

Where have I said that won't happen? It probably will, but he won't be a Sunderland player when he does.

What bile? You're the one that's jumped in laughing at players with international caps comparing them to a player that has zero international caps. Seems odd.
