First nine matches of last season we were in 4th on 16pts with 18 goals and without a striker. Why would it be a catastrophe this season?

I honestly thought I’d read it all on here. Just because we had an ok start in what world were we not nearly relegated? The only reason we weren’t is because of that good start.

Had there been a few more games we were gone. Do you think the FA steps in and stops relegation if you have a good start like 😂.

There’s been teams top of the league after 10 games who’ve dropped man.

You’ve had some pearler excuses in the past pal, but this tops the lot 😂😂😂

Teams had largely sussed us out after the start with there being a decline from that point onwards. Only scoring 34 goals and picking up 40 points from the next 37 matches. Backed up by very little improvement in the first team or since then.

Why would they be a few more games when we had played everyone twice and who are these mystical teams we would have played. The season finished and we were placed where we were because of the season we had. Not relegated and not promoted, this nearly relegated talk is just as shit as your post

It’s a phrase that has always been in football cock wombler. We were lucky games ran out otherwise we’d have fell, had we been near the top and just missed out, the exact same phrase could be applied.

I remember how much it was bandied about the season we didn’t go up when boro pipped us, was perfectly sound then, now it’s the opposite posters like yourself don’t want to hear it. I wonder why.

I'm pointing out it's wrong knob jockey, we finished where we did over the season. There's no reason for any ifs or buts, just something else for people like you to moan about. Whine whine whine over the same things, it's a new season just get behind the team instead of spending your life moaning about history

I disagree. Certainly those teams who make the least number of mistakes start well and usually those with big squads finish well. But ultimately it comes down to goals and the sides who can score a couple, or even turn around a deficit in the 10 minutes will finish top 6

How is it wrong. If we finish 9th this season 3 points off the play offs, or 4th 3 points off second have we not just missed out, or will you give this same shit to anyone who dares say that.

I suspect not.

Where am I whining exactly by pointing out having a good start to the season does not mean we weren’t close to relegation. The post I quoted was literally trying to give people shit for saying we were close to relegation. We quite literally were close to relegation.

I happen to think we will start well, but if we get off to a poor start, then were likely going down without some serious and radical changes at the top. The club and a section of fans have convinced themselves otherwise and this one will be on yourselves.

Because from our last 30 championship games we have averaged just a point a game. Scoring a disappointing 25 goals, only 0.83 goals per game. The lack of strikers and experience really took its toll.
