Essential films of the 90s

[Son of Stan]

Tyneside cinema has an essential films of the 90s season and their choices are:
Fargo
Boogie Nights
Starship Trooper
Fight Club
Blue Travail
Chungking Express

This has set me thinking, and if pushed my choices would be:
Fight Club
Fargo
Goodfellas
Heat
Reservoir Dogs
The Shawshank Redemption

I'm guessing not everyone will agree.

It was a choice for me between Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, and I went with the first as it was more ground breaking.

Well that's what got me thinking in the first place. Disappointed with theirs really, as I'd have liked to see Goodfellas and Heat on a big screen again.

All I remember about that one is having an argument with an ex boyfriend beforehand (probably why are we going to see this shite) then having an even bigger one afterwards. The film is a blur.

Silence of the Lambs, Saving Private Ryan, Groundhog Day!

Do you think Silence of the Lambs has aged well? I still prefer Manhunter to that. And apart from the first 20 minutes I find Saving Private Ryan a bit mawkish for me.
