Do you think Silence of the Lambs has aged well? I still prefer Manhunter to that. And apart from the first 20 minutes I find Saving Private Ryan a bit mawkish for me.

Yes, SotL is well shot imo, gives plenty of air time to the main protagonists musings..

I will own up and say I've never seen Saving PR ! but seems like it was a 90s tour de force for the depiction of the landings.

Personally I'd go for The Ice Storm, Léon, LA Confidential or The Age of Innocence...
