England in Sri Lanka Red Ball

fuck sake, I shouldn't feel sorry for him but I do

he must be bowling no balls every time and they aren't getting called

While there's not a lot to moan about on the field I'm feeling the urge to moan about something so here goes.

Football flags and shirts at the cricket. Why?

Don't mind taking a bit of local pride abroad but why not flags with the name of your league or county cricket club, emblazened on it? You do see the odd one now and again but they're few and far between among all the football flags.

Not having a go. I know a few on here take Sunderland flags. Would just be interested to know why.
It’s a fair point. Years back a poster on here brought out shirts incorporating the Durham and SAFC crests and they were smart as.

In the last twenty years we’ve grown used to poledancers (rip) flags being perfectly positioned, so it gave an extra bit of pleasure seeing those, prominent in the background of a wicket being taken

The best of poledancers work was on pillow cases advertising the roker tandoori house and Murray Marshall’s shop on pallion road, where I used to live

My one gripe is the current posters over there, get the angles wrong and we can’t see the Safc ones enough

Jennings ffs

Both these openers are hopeless, not up to the game at the top level.

This is absolute shite this.
It’s been three innings since Keats got a big ton

Stokes given two chances due to no balls

England lead of 206 at lunch day three

Stokes 32 n.o.

Buttler 38 n.o.

'Keats' isn't up to the job mate. Let him slope off to his Division 2 Lancs :)

Those flags in Bangladesh were brilliant!

Stokes our now ,really third time lucky
Caught at long on going for big shots for 42
I don’t understand why no balls are not called now as it would deter the bowler if his figures were enhanced for no balls and the opposing teams score would correctly be enhanced

Yeah I’ve no idea what he’s doing there like

Almost like he didn’t fancy it
Stokes looked absolutely knackered out there mind. He was pulling all sorts of facial expressions suggesting as much. Agree that he didn’t really look like he wanted to be out there.

Shocking tactics from SL here anarl. They’ve gifted Modern 16 runs already, hasn’t played a shot in anger yet and there’s still half the team on the boundary.

Was it just me or did it appear they were stopping that replay before his foot was actually on the floor? Looked as if it could of been another no ball.

Well that should make tomorrow a formality now

So. What’s the line up for the next test?

It's going to be flat in the Caribbean so six bowlers again. 4 seamers 2 spinners

Burns
Jennings
Bairstow
Root
Buttler
Stokes
Ali
Curran/Woakes
Broad
Leach
Anderson

Harsh on Rashid like but you need Leach and Moeen's control over there.

Does anyone else think Stokes is starting to look like Freddie Krugger?

Not sure about Jennings or Burns but we are hardly in a position of strength with openers, so we'll stick with both.
Rashid and Leach or is the big decision. I'd go with Rashid as I like having the option of a leg spinner in the side and his better batting will probably keep his place.
I'd personally like to see Stone get a chance but then where does that leave Broad? So I feel Broad will keep his place in the team.
