If Sony stands firm the publishers will have to just swallow it. If they start to ramp up the rip off elements too much they will lose more by less people owning the consoles, or simply owning less games.

So it turns out that PS4 will have a similar policy after all, except for first party games.

No it won't. He's saying that some companies, i.e. Activision, will charge for online codes, etc, on some of their games to access online. Which currently happens on PS3. That's what I'm reading there, anyway. I couldn't give a rats arse about online codes as long as I can play my games in single player, offline.

Publishers are scrapping online passes, I think EA already have, they are doing that because they want used games to be phased out.

If they have the option of DRM, they will use it.

Ridiculous that they are on the verge of making used games a thing of the past. No CEX or Game in the future, it'll all be like iTunes.

some publishers are scrapping Online codes, a few will stickm with them.

And to think these morons are running a billion dollar corporation. And to cap it off Microsoft are trying to get this clip removed. Screw them.

I have a great solution for those who don't have regular internet access, it's called a PS4.

He was also the same guy who called gamers who wanted backwards compatibility, "backwards".
