Durham mags.......

Wankers. I remember when I lived in London and I got the train up one Saturday which happened to be on a SJP match day. I couldn't believe how many Mags got on at Darlo, it was rammed. Could all hear them with their shite Darlo accents.
Darlo has always had a big mag and Man Utd following.

Chester isn't 80% mag.
I'll give you 60 - 40 in favour of the skunks but in all probability it's nearer 50-50.
So it's 60/40 but nearer 50/50

General trend seems to me that as time goes by, Mags are increasing in numbers in many areas throughout Co. Durham that were traditionally die-hard Sunderland areas. If it carries on it doesn't bode well.

Pretty sure Durham City had a load of mags there pre-Keegan though, presumably due to the fast train link.

aye they did mate, i can remember loads of them going through in the 1970's, Jogger Brown, Bubbles, Chipper etc., always ran away buses anarl. SAFC always had more Durham fans, but the mags had a strong following years before the Hall/Keegan years. i grew up with them.

There was always a good few in Durham - not always the brightest but always a few.

There's a lad lived in North End his family were from Sunderland but he went to watch Newcastle and he said he could leave the house at 2.15 get the train to Newcastle - sit down in his seat as the teams came out, leave at the end of the game and be back in the house by 5.30 - we are still sitting in the traffic in Sunderland.

You can walk round Newcastle 20 minutes after the game and unless you went into the pubs you could be forgiven for thinking no game had been on. The trains and metro get everyone into and away from Newcastle pretty sharpish

Another Penshaw turncoat initials PB
Used to go to all Sunderland games.
One day he walked past the pub in scum shirt circa 1995 .
Now hates mackems and has a front door with a Nufc badge engraved in it
Wtf

Penshaw has always had mags. They all used to drink in the Bird in Hand. Back in the eighties most used to go to games.
A bus used to pick them up for away games. They were all nutters .

Remember them- not to be fucked with

Thats because newcastle attracts more locals in neutral areas to visit so pick them- there must be 5 mags to every safc fan in the north east

Rainton Mags flag at the England game the other night. Sick!
When I was a bus driver many moons ago I remember driving through East Rainton when the mags were playing in a cup semi or might have been the final. Was amazed with the amount stood on the road side waiting for transportation. There was a canny few in Houghton to.
