Unfortunately they have another student night planned on 8th June for the game against BirminghamWe’ve got season tickets again. I just hope the club has learned and there’s not another student night like last year
I was a student once, great times last century .Unfortunately they have another student night planned on 8th June for the game against Birmingham
I'll be surprised -I,along with the others who had complained at last year's event, got a very apologetic email from Bostock admitting it had been his idea and that the concept had proved a big mistake.Unfortunately they have another student night planned on 8th June for the game against Birmingham
It's 100% happening on 8th June.I'll be surprised -I,along with the others who had complained at last year's event, got a very apologetic email from Bostock admitting it had been his idea and that the concept had proved a big mistake.

It's been organised by a company called Invades (quite apt). They have been selling tickets online

INVADES exclusive Pre game Day Party

as CEO I take full responsibility for the decision making, this will not be repeated, once again many apologies.
He’s a liar, then.
Yeh, I got a reply expressing similar sentiments, not identical which does indicate that he,at least, made the effort to reply individually. He did admit that others in management had expressed reservations about the concept but he went ahead regardless. This was the reply I got off him but the above post suggest they're doing it again which is dissapointing
Dear Mr and Mrs GMNO1Fan,
Firstly thank you for your feedback and secondly on behalf of the Club I must apologise unreservedly for your experience at last night’s match.
We made a poor decision to trial a University partnership and totally underestimated their lack of interest in the cricket and very poor end of term behaviour,we failed to steward properly and our communications were poor prior to the game.
All in all a poor night on the field and an even poorer night off the field,as CEO I take full responsibility for the decision making, this will not be repeated, once again many apologies.
Regards
Tim
Think I'll give that game a miss.
Correct. I will be contacting the club about this as I am aware it was mentioned at the members forum also. Can imagine when word gets out, it will piss off a lot of members who in fairness aren't particularly happy with the state of the club on and off the field at the moment.
Be a lot of members giving this game a swerve.
I’m all for Durham chasing the coin, but to do it at the expense of your existing ‘customers’ is tantamount to excessive self harm.
Any news why stokes isnt playing?
As I have said to you a few times on here mate the days where the county member came first are long gone. What annoyed me the most last year was the fact the club blocked off the trapdoor stand and the county durham lower and upper then kept on putting over the tannoy asking for folk to social distance- we had no option but to sit together as spare seats were sparse. I asked stewards several times if we could social distance and go upstairs in the county durham upper and each time were told no even though it was all empty. The club must be skint but as I've said before members are pissed off at the moment and @The Red Telephone can vouch for this who is a regular at the games. We left the game very early and were back in Penshaw before the game had finished, plenty others left early, someone on here left after about 5 overs.
I think a couple of days later the same company event caused a lot of bother down at Edgabston.
Ah ffs man, thank you for the heads up at least. My little girl wasn't keen on them last year and because All-Stars runs on a Friday, she can only make the Sunday/Wednesday games.Unfortunately they have another student night planned on 8th June for the game against Birmingham

The season starts at the Riverside next week and by whatever means they want punters through the doors and if they are going to get on the lash and spend money even better.
I get the feeling the T20 season tickets sales haven't been going well if they are going down this route.
At the last zoom forum, Bostock spoke very much in favour of the Hundred claiming without its revenue half a dozen counties would go bust. Both he and North clearly prioritise white ball cricket - they're clearly in line with ECB priorities. The disgusting state of the ground and the lack of facilities for the early red ball fixtures indicates their lack of respect for full members. As I have said to you a few times on here mate the days where the county member came first are long gone.
