Both from a cricketing perspective and a marketing one.
Whilst we should feel confident we can win 2 of the 3, which would be a good return to come home with - the bigger issue in all of this for me is the ridiculous arrangement of the schedule which sees us play a large number of home games in a very close together manner and many of which are on ‘unfashionable’ nights. It looks and feels to me like an marketing nightmare. Getting bums on seats for a competition that we can all agree is every (non 16.4) clubs biggest money-spinner will be a very tall order.
Given my opinion of the (FT)ECB, I’m inclined to believe it’s entirely intentional.
