Maybe Iam easily flattered by 45 minutes of football, but I sense I’ve seen this before in my Sunderland supporting life.

That is a team that can’t score but doing enough to win games. Heads are up, players aren’t hiding, but they are losing. All at the same time as the Manager is trying to instill new setups/tactics

There are a few examples a couple that come to mind are 1977 and Poyets great escape.
Only thing is I cant see who is going to start scoring… but then I didn’t in the two examples quoted.

We’re all pretty easily pleased marra, how else would you explain crowds of over 40k with our inglorious recent history.

I certainly agree with your concern about where the goals are coming from.

I’ve said previously, given his options I can’t see a better one than Jobe up top. Granted he’s not a natural striker but in the limited time we’ve seen him play there he’s looked more the part than anyone else at the club currently. I realise that’s a low bar but desperate times and all that ….
