Got caught and taken home when I was about 10. We caught a load of sticklebacks and stood on a disused railway bridge dropping them on to cars.

A couple of years later the police turned up to give us the full "you do not have to say anything" for playing football in the street, a breach of an old Scottish by law.

    Hardly Britains most wanted!

    I thought that made sense.
Me dad said don't bring the cops to the door and I didn't.
No pints unfortunately I'm always like this :)

  6. Neither myself nor any of my other 6 siblings ever brought the Police to the door. There were a few families in our street that had the Police at their doors every bloody week mind .

I can beat that. The same happened to me but on Barnes Park Rd(?) the one from Barnes to St Gabriels church? About five hours after I’d passed my test!
Cop said “is this your car?”
    “No it’s my dads”
    “What’s the reg number?”
I told him and he got me out of the car and took me to the back and pointed.
“Yes I said and repeated the number.
Not the number son you’ve no lights on!
    “Sorry”

Me too anarl. There was a murder one weekend in Whickham, and the cops came round making enquiries, about anyone that had connections there. I was away all of that particular weekend down country with football. There was no one in our house, at the time the cops came, but the awld biddy next door to us, told the police that I went to Whickham quite often, as I had a girlfriend there. The cops were straight back in force, a few hours later , but of course I was nowhere near Whickham that weekend. Nowt like yer neighbours trying to get you hung. !!

We once stripped one of the lads and tied him to a tree in Ayton primary school. (On a Sunday)

Put a twig up his arse and phoned the coppers saying a flashing peado was in the school.

    Was fucking hell on

Mine was a taxi driver murdered in Aberdeen. Apparently they had very little evidence so they were interviewing every single person who had either gone offshore or come back onshore around the date. Given this was the early eighties that must have been a canny few lads. Never ever found out if anyone got convicted.

I always wanted to shout ‘Come and get me copper!’ As I fired off a few rounds at them.

  18. Early teens, through Seaham, lost my busfare. Started walking back to Ryhope in the pissing rain. Police car pulled over, asked me where I was going, and gave me a lift home.

    Top lads.

  19. No. He was in the gym the day before, the day of the murder and the day after. It just happened that I was in the gym on those days and around the same time.
