They don't. Unless you had a big party of 6 or more.
Otherwise your receipt will have come with a suggested tip of 18% It would then be up to you how much to leave.

We stayed at the Buena vista resort and spa…quite dated but suited us. Free shuttles to the parks.
We had a full kitchen so just had breakfast in the room.
Walmart about $6 dollars in an Uber away.
Irish bar on grounds averaging $6 a pint food ok and massive kids portions!
Flew from Edinburgh direct with virgin.
Previous year we flew with BA from Newcastle but it was 3 flights each way and was hell with 2 kids.
Virgin was a different class compared to BA.
Lots of places to eat close by and quite reasonable priced.
Eating at the park was very expensive so we tended to take snacks with us.
Refillable drinks (including ices) in universal for about $20 dollars a day we are tight so just shared one between the 4 of us and you can refill every 20 mins I believe!
You can spend as much as you want however as a family of 4 we prob spent about $4500 including meals out every night..spent a bit at the balls….Uber’s to restaurants etc!
We don’t get genie + or universal fast passes. We went at the back end of May this year for 17 nights and Q’s not to bad
Managed to get virtual Q’s bang on 7am but need to be spot on with times!!

Service charge is on your bill it’s expected trust me. It’s how the waitresses get by

It's easily done though, especially in circumstances like he described.
The wait staff at Disney earn loads. You have to do other jobs for years before getting the chance as lucrative wait staff.

Stayed on idrive in 2016 and first place we went to I asked the waitress about tipping protocol, did they get it personally or was it pooled etc and what was the score with suggested tipping that was noted on the bill. Had been good service so added the suggested tip as cash. Went back later in the holiday and the service from the waitress that time wasn’t anywhere near as good so left nominal amount by adding it to the bill. It’s “expected” but the amount is discretionary.

It’s worse now, they circle the suggested tip amount in a very bold way…makes it very uncomfortable for you not to pay it.
Actually seen a server chase a couple out of an ihop on the way to Universal Studios for not leaving a tip
Tbf it’s part of their culture so I don’t really give it a second thought when I’m out there. If you can afford a Disney holiday you can afford the service charge imo

Money is in the VIP tours according to the CM we spoke too in millers.
Pay by card. Don’t need to tip.

I didn’t tip in a few places this year like. Just tapped me card and left.
I’m talking about table service.
So you’d have a meal in cheesecake factory for example and leave without paying service charge?

Everywhere accepts Apple Pay only place had an issue was nyc other year in a little deli.
Those table terminals that places have in nyc are the boyo like. Order pay order pay etc then leave. No tip required. Though if service good I’ll tip. Like did in Lugers.
