Disney world Florida

Everywhere accepts Apple Pay only place had an issue was nyc other year in a little deli.
Those table terminals that places have in nyc are the boyo like. Order pay order pay etc then leave. No tip required. Though if service good I’ll tip. Like did in Lugers.
Just got back from Florida and also travel to America regularly for work. In almost every restaurant when you tap/applepay they will still print a receipt which you sign which has the option to manually write in the tip and final total. If you add tip it’ll automatically go on the balance you tapped. It’s only gas stations, fast food and small shops etc when the tap does the job by itself. Even then you sometimes have to bizarrely put your pin in.
Also those table pay machines (got them in places like Texas Roadhouse) you still get asked to tip as part of payment so only stingy people don’t add the tip if it’s been good service - even then just go for the lowest (say 10%), mostly to avoid the embarrassment of them staring at you for leaving without tipping.

Aye nyc had me put pin in with card tapping but never appple pay. Much better then old days of card swiping and signatures on screens and thst.

Only place ever had one those where you add tip to receipt was a bar in Disney springs. Rest was just straight up tap and go.

I never axx the tip om the card. Always tip out in cash. That way the server doesn't have to claim it all on their taxes.

Strange. Everywhere I can think of for sit down meal all give you paper receipt to write tip on

Off with very young kids (1 and 3) staying at pop century. What’s the best plan for feeding the little ones during the days? Any recommendations on easy food where we don’t have to sit for ages is welcomed as they get bored easily sitting down in a restaurant.
Should have saved your dosh for a bucket and spade holiday and took them when They are a bit older

My youngest was less than one when we went. Just got all her bait (formula, pouches, snacks) delivered to airport boots for the trip. Snack time she just had fruit from the supermarket which I took with me to parks in cooler bag. Night meal she just had some of what we ate if she was awake. The heat wiped her most the days.
Stock up on Nappies. Expensive in states for them. Some sort of plastic tax iirc. £10 a pack.

Anyone done Gator land? I’m staying at Disney but considering it for a more chilled day with the little ones

Loving the d23 announcements.

Interesting that they're going back to so many old franchises for their new attractions because they've had so few hits over the last seven or eight years. Moana, Coco and Encanto probably their only three genuinely successful movies in that time. There was a time when it was classic after classic.

I saw very little of the new stuff - obviously it takes time to get these things to the parks, but there were a few floats at California Adventure and that was about it.
They're also having issues getting their new rides to work reliably.

Meanwhile all the imagineers whose experience was let go went to universal and they're test flying bloody dragons in Florida.

Some canny announcements at the D23 expo for future attractions at WDW. Guessing most of them won’t be done until 2027 though
