Crowds Next Season

absolutely no chance, will be lucky to get 30k unless we’re dishing out free tickets left right and centre again
We’ve averaged 30k in this league without freebies, so no reason why we can’t top that. Especially with the feelgood factor atm. Might still be a few who are cautious about returning, but I think a lot of people can’t wait to get back.

f***ing right I would 'pipe up' and have done twice at Old Trafford and Wigan.
So if someone boos them taking the knee your going to pipe up? Bullshit, I bet you’ve got a playlist full of rappers calling each other N this and N that but still going to lecture white people on racism. Backward

If we manage to get up and are in the Championship next season, what sort of crowds do you think we’d get? Assuming there were no restrictions of course, I reckon we could attract 35 - 40k for most games, with well over 40k for some of the bigger ones. There seems a genuine buzz and positivity about us at present; I would like to think there’ll be loads who can’t wait to get back to watching live games.

Be interesting to see if the last year has put anyone off attending games in future; there are bound to be some I suppose.
I might be part of this group. Not sure either way at this point.
The idea of sitting shoulder to shoulder with strangers and breathing in whatever has just come from their Phlegmy smoky germy lungs, does not appeal to me.
And some, like me are enjoying access to online streams. Don't know how many that might amount to though.
All doubt could be wiped away with a good team and good results. I've yet to decide.

Can't stand rap personally but each to their own, I'd applaud them for taking the knee tbh and the 3 or 4 brainless pricks who decide to boo will be rightfully mocked for being the utter simpletons they clearly are.

Given the number of people on this board who have said that they won't go back until Donald has fucked off I reckon we'll be looking at 48k every game with thousands in Sheepfolds and the surrounding areas.
In all seriousness, a few 'statement of intent signings' along with the Dreyfus PR machine operating at full tilt and it'll be 35-40k when/if people's confidence levels go up regarding the virus.

Well, I'm hoping to get myself a season ticket regardless of the league the club finds itself in. A cheeky drive down the A1 every couple of weeks from Edinburgh seems nowhere near as tiresome after the year we've all endured without having anything to do. Miss the footie.

You're welcome to join our card school on the train..two of us hook up with 3 Fife lads (all S/T holders) at Waverley...Rail-cards and advance booking a cheaper option than driving.... Hopefully back on our travels next season..

I can’t speak for everyone, but a lot of my mates who haven’t been to games for a few years are desperate to go back.

I can’t wait to be back and think the atmosphere will be tremendous for the first game back without restrictions.

I’m the opposite, this has broke the habit and I haven’t missed. I‘ll still be renewing but just picking and choosing which games I attend. Looking forward to the away games mind but that’s just for the days out.

I honestly think a lot will stay away due to fear .
First home game in championship around 33k.
If in league one around 26k.
Going to take a lot to achieve 40k crowds

A bit off topic but doesn't anyone know when renewal dates are out? I will absolutely be returning, no matter what league we end up in. I think there will be less of the older fans due to covid concerns but a lot of people who had given up because of Donald will be back. I'd say 35k plus if full allocation is allowed. A couple of wins on the bounce and it'll be packed out.

Possibly renewal and early bird dates sometime next week....going by previous seasons info.

If KLD invests in some genuinely good players and we look like making a proper challenge then 35k will be the norm by Christmas, with a sell out against the mags in there too

I reckon the ones who may have been most at risk or concerned and may have stayed away will be vaccinated by then

I messaged chris walters the liason manager yesterday but he said he didn’t know yet

Reckon crowds will be down as people have lost the habbiy of going.

A year and half without football we should have big numbers next season whatever league we’re in. The other half can’t possibly disagree when you say your going to the match now

Last time we had this discussion it was deep in the Parky era and we were a lot less optimistic about the likely attendances once we are allowed back.
Just shows that a winning team gets the crowds, always has been.

There is no doubt tho, the longer it goes on, the more chance some of us will lose the habit and find other things to do with their time and money. A lot of lockdown stuff is free.

It’s really important that we encourage the youngsters, the future generations of supporters , to come to the match and get the habit.
