Crowd for sat

I’d love to be at the game but cannot. Plans made months ago taking me out of the country stopping me. I’d say quite a few in the same boat. Throw in that it’s a Saturday night, televised game and you’ve a further reduction there. There’s no doubt that recent results have maybe taken a bit of a toll on some peoples interest and motivation but I think it’s being overstated. All being said, regardless of how many are in the ground I think it’s better to have 26000 making a noise and getting behind the lads from the off, than 35000 sitting on their hands and whinging over every pass.

I remember under O'Niell we played Arsenal on a Saturday night in the FA Cup and the crowd was only about 26,000 then too and the atmosphere that night was brilliant and we deservedly won (Richardson scored I think)

If we go up via the play offs it will be fully deserved.
We finished 5th, had we finished 3rd I would agree with you. Over the course of a full season Charlton are proven to be the 3rd best team and deserve to go up, luckily for us they dont and enter the play off lottery.

The rules are set out before the season starts. Whoever wins the play offs will deserve to go up.

I am far from impressed with the performance of the team and final league position. I think the manager specifically has underperformed. However, it's time to get behind the team and try and get them over the line. I have been critical, as I think it's been well deserved however, now is not the time to turn your back.

Get to the game. Full inquest if we don't succeed in the playoffs.
Absolutely spot on for me. Get behind what we have got for the next few weeks, its all we have. the inquest can come after the play-offs.

This low crowd could well be a warning of what to expect next season, should we fail to be promoted
The relatively 'low' crowd for this game is because it is being televised live. Ordinarily when we have a live televised league game at the SOL there have been 24,000 tickets sold before the announcement thro' season cards. Not this one, when it was announced that it was to be on tv NO tickets had been sold. Many will watch it in packed pubs throughout Wearside.

I wonder how many have renewed at this points.

Folk comitting to another year of possibly l1 yet not going tomorrow are weird like imo.
I haven’t I’m waiting to see if the concourse is reopened after promotion. I’m the only one renewing regardless of the league we’re in. If I’m on my own I might treat myself to the Blackcats Bar for a year.
