Could Sticking With Moyes Save Us?

The danger with a new manager is they might become quickly overwhelmed by just how bad things are. I could imagine someone like Ranieri regretting taking charge of us within two weeks of taking the job. Moyes seems to be a realist if nothing else and despite his bleak persona he seems up for the fight or at the very least he's not phased by the general shiteness.

Maybe that's the issue? Maybe he should be more "publically" bothered by the shambles that is SAFC?

The next two games are massive for Moyes: Gus, Dick and Fat Sam all managed big wins against top teams. Can Dave take 3 points from the next 2 games? I am not sure that's what he's about.

I cant comment on if he is the man to keep you up,but while he was at Everton he didnt win a single game at the then top 4 clubs,to me he was always a manager that set out to gain a point

He will take us down to the championship then be unable to stop the slide and end up being sacked at Xmas when we are in 18th place.

Before everyone starts I'm not suggesting he's working miracles. But I'm going to argue it may be worth sticking to our guns.

It's well known in football that sticking with a manager generally gets better results. Crystal Palace recently changed their manager and results have actually got worse - with a supposed 'relegation specialist'. Leicester have just done the same and who's to say it will improve them? They could start doing even worse for all we know.

And before everyone jumps in with 'it needs to be the right manager' I read a stat on here today that since we lost in the FA Cup to Everton under O'Neil we have won 40 of 185 league games!!! This surely shows that even if you don't like him or are unsure, it is unfair to pin the blame on Moyes - because frankly we're not really doing anything different to what we normally do - regardless of the result tomorrow.

Its a tough ask for Moyes with this squad, but im gonna say, if Defoe stays fit, Moyes will keep us up. Hull, Boro, and Palace to go down. I think Big Sam has lost his street cred, with the jocks on campus, looks a bit desperate and desperation is a stinky cologne.
