Some lovely recommendations in this thread of places where I need to sample some coffee in town.

Are there any coffee shops in Sunderland that roast their own beans on the premises ?

Back in the day, I used to frequent McCoys in Hull, to both enjoy a coffee and to take a bag home of whatever beans they had finished roasting that day.
 
The Eden Cafe opened today in Hills Art Centre in Waterloo Place.

Eden Community Hub CIC is a brand-new cafe which aims to support the Deaf community.
