Coffee shops in Sunderland

My two favourites would be Paticake Patisserie in Thornhill Cres. lovely staff coffee and quality cakes and Coffee 57 High Street West opposite Primark friendly staff top coffee and the legendary Mullers pink slice available.

I'm sure people on here have got many other coffee shops that they like.

My daughter was up from London for the game this weekend and is a bit of a coffee snob, she thought Pop Recs was spot on.
Loved her first pint in the Dun Cow too!
(We don't drink in Sunderland normally as we have to drive back to Berwick).

Great to sit outside on a sunny day like today-mind last time I was there a lad with a black eye and looking bedraggled sat beside me and asked if I had any spare money as he was hungry -I said”I’ll go to the shop a couple doors away and get you a bacon sarni if you like” ?
“Can I have an egg and some mushrooms ( who asks for mushrooms ?) as well ?”
I gave up and gave him the money !

I'm a big fan of Paticake's coffee & cakes. (good coffee & good sized wedges of cheesecake)



I haven't yet tried Coffee 57 on HSW, but I'll definitely pop in one Saturday.
