Some bizarre opinions on this thread, he was found not guilty, anyone holding a false conviction against him needs to give their head a shake.

If he is the best striker we can get over the line then we should get him and get behind him.
Not guilty isnt the same as innocent mate.

He broke into someone's room without their permission, while they were pissed, and had sex with them. Those are facts.

He may have been found not guilty, but that's playing it pretty close.

No marra. You still haven’t read the article I posted have you? Anyone who says he is innocent is wrong. That is a fact. Anyone who says she lied is wrong. That is also a fact. It is also a fact that they couldn’t find him guilt at the second trial. None of those facts preclude him being a dirty bastard. And none of them prove that he didn’t do what they said he did. I’m very glad that he’ll never play for Sunderland.

Well no, of course not .... I'm not setting myself up for an endless cycle of semantics and second guessing based on crap articles.

The court has made it's decision and, without having access to all of the evidence, I'm not conceited enough to doubt them.

If you prefer articles in The Sun, or whatever, to the actual evidence that's your choice.

Some men on here will just hear what they want to hear. No point in arguing with them.
A collective sigh of relief, that he isn't our problem.

The article was an analysis by a legal professional who had looked at the evidence. Considering some of the things you’ve said in the thread, you’d do well to educate yourself of it Rivs.

Thats absolute nonsense Rivs. I suggest you read the link below as it shows very clearly what happened in a way that removed from the tabloid sensationalism. Nothing about his not guilty verdict tells me he’s anything other than a wrong’un

Good read that, ta.

Yes, I'll spend a few hours examining all the evidence

Edit: Just had a quick look at the link and it's absolute shite tbh, just loads of technical jargon and very little to do with the actual evidence.

I get the difference but at what point do you draw the line? If you don’t give those found not guilty the benefit of the doubt then you’re judging people simply by being accused of a crime.

So not only did he spend time in jail for something he didnt do he should be punished again by us not giving him a job because of something he didnt do.

Some crackpots in this place mind.

If I’m a crackpot for not liking this fella than so be it.

Maybe I just have different morals to you, but regardless I’ll still not go down the personal insult route.

Anyway we aren’t getting him apparently so we can avoid the the negativity and divicivness he would have brought whether people like it or not.

A surprising number of lasses coming out in defence of Evans on social media. While I accept he was found not guilty in a court of law he did act a bit creepy tbf and lasses never usually wait for an excuse to highlight creepy acts of behaviour from some lads.

Anyway, the poster that said we're talking about this over his footballing ability suggests we shouldn't even be entertaining his signature from purely a footballing PoV.

700 posts , 36 pages of outrage and bed wetting for a player we were never in for

Some people on here never learn....

It's just a bit of fun though isn't it ..... like commenting, to strangers, about a match you're not actually at.
