CC : Warwickshire v Durham

For once I think that’s just poor ‘journalism’ from Dobell. He’s either went for the easy line to create a story or just made wrong assumptions.
Wrong assumptions?

Seems like he's spot on, as always.
How many will the Bears want before they declare. Possibly about 650 as the follow on doesn't really get enforced these days.
The game is bordering on meaningless already

How many times have you seen it though one side racks up 600 plus same pitch next time gets in trouble just due to the scoreboard it’s been dreadful performance and is Boland crocked already.

It’s a worry for me if they continue to pick both Carse and Parkinson who to me is a white ball bowler barely spins in just darts it in.

Ackerman and Borthwick should be given a bowl surely. No point whatsoever bowling Potts and Raine into the ground so early in the season. Could well lead to Potts withdrawn in the future by ECB.

Batters enjoying this season, Sam Northeast has a triple hundred, Davies, Gay and Higgins all have double hundreds, and two players, the overseas Worcester player and Joe Clarke at Notts have just registered their second hundreds of the season.... all this before a Durham batter has faced a ball. In the old days they hadnt even started the B and H group games. Hopefully our batters can follow suit ... if we ever get in !

The decision to introduce the Kookaburra ball will turn out to be a totally absurd one IMO.

This year will likely determine whether Rob Key is remembered as a visionary or a fool. And the scores seen so far may suggest he’s on course for the latter. Test cricket in the summer will be the final factor
