Or Scott Boland ?🤔
Boland is my guess

They said it would make us all go ooh, so that suggests a test bowler. With no test cricket for Australia next summer, an Aussie makes sense. I can't see us signing an IPL aussie, so Boland is one of the few that fits the bill, unless Jhye Richardson is on the radar, but he would be a big risk fitness wise.

I had planned to go down after lunch, but when the 4th wicket fell I got a bit twitchy and headed down. Just as well, because when I got to the ground they were 6 down and I took my seat just in time for Parky's first over and suddenly they were 8 down.

When we were relegated by the ECB I felt that if we could win our first 2 matches the next season we might have a chance of going back up. Of course the start of the exodus turned that into fantasy, but at no point did I think it would take us until 2023 to get promoted again

Well done to everyone at the club for all the effort they've put into the season and well done to us for keeping the faith

Echoing marty on the length of time, we effectively lost two years because of the lockdown.

Me, I thought back at what had happened to Sunderland in 1960, or whatever, and you could argue we never recovered properly.

Luckily for Durham the ECB eventually relented to some extent with an unjust punishment, and I still think the wrong people were punished, and the club made some good decisions such as appointing Marcus North.

An interesting year awaits. Will this group of batsmen continue? Will Lees be called into the England fold? What to do about the bowling, not just the overseas, we will still be short of bodies I think.

Boland wouldn't make me go "oooh", he was shite in the Ashes so question marks over his ability to take wickets on English wickets.

About as good as a season can get really. A special mention to Ben Raine from me, was happy when he came back home the other year but if I'm being honest the idea of him stepping up to pretty much replace Rushy this season didn't fill me full of confidence.

Proved me completely wrong and deserved them figures yesterday to finish the season off.

Great day to end a great Championship campaign. In the pre season predictions I went for 5th and thought I was being optimistic so am over the moon to have been totally proved wrong.

66 points ahead of second placed Worcs and let's face it if it hadn't been for the weather the gap probably would have three figures.

We dominated session after session and in the rare moments we had our backs to the wall we seemed to simply find another gear. A magnificent team effort throughout with great leadership from Badger and as for the coach...he has been a revelation and has taken the club back to where we belong after a desperate 2022.

Roll on Division One!

Anderson's Test career appears far from over - Reuters/Andrew Boyers© Provided by The Telegraph
James Anderson’s international career after he was offered a new deal in a batch of central contracts that includes around 20 multi-year deals.

Anderson, 41, is understood to have been offered a one-year deal. in a tweaked system, with approximately 20 of them more than a year long in an attempt to tie players down for England and lessen the threat posed the franchise circuit.

Notably, England are looking to tie down a new generation of all-format fast bowlers such as Josh Tongue and Brian Carse to 2 year contracts with,a view to ashes series in 2025
