WELL! There's been a toss! We won it and will bowl .

I will say it again its the counties who decide the schedule, there is no reason why this round of matches (and quite a few other rounds) could not have started on a Thursday instead of a Monday or Tuesday and people who work during the week could watch cricket at the weekends but the counties don't want it. Also its the counties who want the majority of cricket played in mid summer to be one day especially T20.

That isn't completely true, the counties suggest/advise on what they'd like to see - but ultimately FTECB has the final say.

For example, the counties like the white ball stuff in a block together but I don't think anyone would want the enormous blocks of nothingness in between like we saw in early season and then again after the T20.

Durham win toss and put Sussex in !!

Sussex 5-1 after Rushys first over.
Everyone has been moved from the green seats and blue seats at the Lumley End for H/S reasons.some very unhappy bunnies to say the least!!

It was lovely and warm sitting in the sun there!

Thought you were going to storm penthouse ;)

Bit damp up there at the moment, may go there after lunch

Luke Wells has a lot of runs against us like....... Don't think we've had the success this morning that Colly expected.

Only one wicket in the first session, should we have batted?

Plenty of movement in first half hour but since then its calmed down.
Definite end of season feel to this fixture.
