A win for Sussex will put them 17 points behind 2nd place Notts, who they play (at Sussex) in the last round.

Beat Notts, Notts stay down and Jennings stays at Durham.

Sussex can't go up though, so may not be that arsed anyway. Do the financial rewards still come into play for league placings though??

The lack of fight shown by us this season in defeats has been worrying, for example we completely capitulated today. Even if we were say 100-5, which wouldn't have been a strong position to win the game, we might've survived thanks to the rain.

We've been denied by tailenders atleast three times this season - Gloucestershire and Kent twice, I just get the impression that our last wicket pair is never going to save us like other sides' have.

Indeed, Latham returning to NZ but Marty tweeted to say that Durham hope to have him back for 2018.

yes provided he is not in the IPl. Whoever the overseas is next season we need him to be here for the majority of the season.

He's not played in the IPL yet in his career, but if he does get selected he can come after.

Aye but it only takes a couple outstanding performances in a few ODIs this winter and someone will give him the nod. Shot making cack hander at the top of the order who also keeps wicket very handy to one of those franchises.

Wouldn't mind seeing him keep wicket for us next year too. Allow us to get an extra batsman in at 7.
