CC :: Durham v Leicestershire

Trev with a wicket
Lot of regulars I've been speaking to at the interval are already questioning the quality of the wicket and saying it doesn't make for good cricket which is concerning. 23 wickets in over 300 overs and over 1000 runs at Durham in April.....

No problem with it me

Potts took wickets with an old ball with his extra pace

To get promoted you need to be able to take 20 wickets regularly. This will be two games* in a row where we’ve fell short of this whilst being overwhelmingly on top.

*Granted, it was the rain that beat us last week.

Aye although you get flat wickets in April

Some big scores across the country

Only 2 wins last week

Maybe this shows a other reason we batted so long.

Wicket deeing absolutely nowt, we'll be lucky to get much out of this pitch unless to a daft shot.

Handshakes with 15 overs left just like last week

Best part of 400 runs and four wickets in latter stages of this match, bore draw its not just he ECB that is killing off first class cricket
Have to agree. I'm a big critic of the ECB but preparing pitches like this will kill the game off. Whoever is dictating/deciding this needs a rethink. It may well be the ECB suggesting staff prepare such pitches, I don't know but ultimately the ground staff prepare the wicket so the main blame lies with them. I sincerely hope a better wicket is produced next week.l, otherwise a rethink of next weekends plans may be in order
