CC :: Durham v Derbyshire

Poynter gone caught lashing at a wide one. Criminal if we don't make 500 here

Tidied
Anyone else finding the Derbyshire commentator to be an annoying bloke ?

No, but I know what you mean

He’s canny crack really, he’s intentionally miserable but I find him quite funny with it.

Critchley on to bowl, so after my comments about them overbowling the spinners yesterday (or more underbowling the seamers) they’ve send down 24 overs* this morning before turning to the twirlers......

*Ignoring the two balls Madsen bowled to complete the over of Hudson-Prentice when he got hurt.
@Dougal just said that there have been 17 Durham players to score a double hundred. Anyone know if the list exists? I have guessed 14.

Cheers Brandon.

Aye I'll take the blame for that praising it earlier on.
It’s very hit and miss, but in the clubs defence this is the first game (and second day) of the new system. I’m sure as the season goes on they’ll iron out the teething problems we’ve had the last couple of days.
Raine limply chips Critchley to mid off.

429-8.

Bedingham edges behind on 257. Falling 17 short of setting a Durham record score.

458-9.

Must say, I’m a bit disappointed considering what’s gone before and how long we’ve batted, that we won’t make 500.

I think the plan was to put them in after tea on day two. Every time we tried to ramp up the run rate we gave away wickets so there's still something in this wicket.

Can't say I'd ever be disappointed with 462

Don’t think I ever would be either.

That seemed evident when we batted so patiently this morning, but I still felt we could easily get beyond 500 before Tea.
Durham 475 all out.
42 overs left in the day. Ha’way the tumble of early wickets.
