CC :: Durham v Derbyshire

Bedingham has been a different class again, irrespective of how many he ends up making from here. This has been very similar to both knocks at Trent Bridge, where it seemed like he was batting on a different pitch.
He looks different gravy. They have even started bowling a foot outside off stump to him hoping he gets bored.

i wonder if batting first was in part due to not having a clue how this pitch will play come day 4 and wanting to get batting out of the way as early as possible :lol: there was a ball to lees (iirc) very early on that absolutely died.
99/100 captains would bat first on a day like today tbf.

Madsen will have the heavy roller on this to try and sort out the uneven bounce

He's looked wafty at times, as seen there. Played some glorious shots in between

we'll need blowers on the comms
And Hudson- Prentice bowls and Bedingham plays it to out to mid on wheres theres no run and oh look there's a rather splendid lime green bus crossing the bridge over the River Tyne..erm Wear and I'm trying to fix my binoculars on to see its destination and as far as I can tell it's the 78 to Consett - how jolly splendid and a Conservative seat as well and at the end of the over its Durham 128-3 in a rather sparsely populated ground today despite the glorious weather and oh look here comes the ice cream man! I do hope he has some monkeys blood to put on my 99 and......etc etc.

50 partnership anyway, ha’way the lads. treble the hewer.

Durham 165-3 (Bedders 91*, Burnham 31*). 10 overs until Tea.

That's definitely how the county trundlers will start bowling at him as he likes to feel bat on ball.

Very pleased with Burrnham's batting today. Only one rash shot off Critchley where he nearly chopped on. Otherwise patient and measured like his 42 at TB. Keep it up lad, no t20 stuff after tea
Not sure what the score is with his qualification to play as a domestic player but he could become the new Benks.
Marty said he's classed as an overseas player atm. He's on a UK ancestry visa as one of his grandparents was born here but he's applying for British citizenship.

Dipped in and out of this today, still get a little buzz from being able to watch Durham play in the CC on the telly. Just great.

Spin form both ends at the Riv on day 1, the times they are a-changing.
