What any enquiry will find will be the same Pakistani Islamic nationalism that dominates the country transferred to pockets within Muslim centres in this country.

What they will find is a racism which is linked to muslim identity but not the faith itself. It will be like one of the victims said...cruel interpretations of religious texts.

But these men haven't come from a vacuum and these attitudes will be found in Pakistani majority areas of Rotherham as much the British right wing equivalent are in parts of Hendon but yes...these men think it ok to play out their fantasies and groom young girls into relationships which end up as rape. But they were socialised that way and part of that socialisation was based on a muslim identity. They were special, the girls deserved what they got for being slags.

Then we will see the gang aspects to all of this 'bruv' 'blud' 'cuz', their gang names 'Mad Ash' 'Bash' 'Dracula'' and the organisational aspects as told by some of the women. Mad Ash of Rotherham often bragged that they ruled Rotherham.

I'm all for a proper enquiry into this. It should take its time. It will shame a few people in all communities but imho that is what it will basically find.

A lot of them have only just got here and they need time to assimilate, but that doesn't happen when you live in an area that is dominated by large numbers of people who think exactly the same way.

The thing is it would be the establishment investigating itself.
The Police, Councils, Social Services and ultimately the Government.
I can’t think of a worse thing than the authorities turning a blind eye to the rape and abuse of thousands of children.
The inquiry would have to be on a scale the like of which we’d never seen before.

Suffered racist abuse and violence as a youth, joined an Islamist group in Egypt, got arrested and spent iirc 8 years in jail, was tortured in there but was converted by a former Islamic terrorist and radical preacher who had previously realised the error of his ways to be more tolerant.

Had a complete turn around in his faith and now works to basically try and help Islam reform and become a more tolerant religion and muslims become more tolerant aswell.

Really? There have already been pretty full reports into a lot of the cases so I would imagine that much of the data has already been collated. There are muslims who would give evidence as to any attitudes within muslim communities. Yes, it would be over 2-4 years maybe even more but I wouldn't have thought it would be that much of a task.

In the past I know you've been critical of my assertion this has something to do with Islam.

Nawaz goes further than just what is in the text describing how repeatedly its Muslims not just from Pakistan and Bangladesh but goes through a list of a number of other countries I wasn't aware of have been involved either.

I'm all for him wanting a national inquiry into the abuse and failings those young girls experienced. Regardless of background, the issues of Muslim grooming gangs and the Muslim culture needs to be looked at, also the roles and accountability of those who were meant to protect children. We need a thorough investigation and scrutiny of all of the issues involved.
Anyone found guilty of abuse and those in authority who failed in their duty, need to be held to account and prosecutions need to happen, to help bring a bit justice to the victims. The inquiry needs to find answers and ways to deal with the the failings of authorities and of the Muslim culture and social issues that allowed such conditions for this child abuse to happen, answers to ensure young girls do not become victims of child abuse by grooming gangs.
Those who abused/played a part or failed to present the abuse from happening, need to be outed and the blame to be held at the perpetrators door and those individuals and authorities who failed the victims.
One thing it should not be is though, is a media tool to be used by those of Right Wing leanings, to try and tar 'all' the Muslim community as being complicit. This inquiry should show I hope, that it was a few bad eggs in the Muslim community that carried out the abuse and authorities failed young children from lower social status backgrounds.
