Buy to let mortgages - Contractor

Absolutely not. It’s more the injustice of it really. Anyone who rents more than two houses out is a massive cock like.
Eh? How do you get that? If someone grafts at school and Uni, then works their way up into a specialism that allows them to go self employed and charge a healthy rate each day, then uses their savings to buy a house that they can rent out to provide a 2nd income? How does that make them a "cock"?

I said anyone who is a landlord for more than two properties.

Contractors are tax dodgers like.

Why?

My plan is to buy three more over the next 7 years which will see my with a decent income in my old age.

They’ll pay for themselves and when I’m 65 will be mortgage free.

Then I’m selling one for my lumper.

I absolutely agree, but unfortunately (he says...) happens once. So if you have one house and buy another over the stamp duty threshold it's Second Home Stamp Duty.
If you then buy a third it's not Third Home, it's just second home stamp duty again.
It doesn't go up depending on the amount of properties you buy.

That's how greedy contractors end up with so many. They can afford to pay it.

I've asked for a Consent to Let from our current provider as we're about to move out of our house and rent it. If that doesn't work, I'll have to look at getting a buy to let - if I see any decent lenders I'll let you know!
Who’s your mortgage with? We’ve just got consent to let as we’re buying a new house. Was a piece of piss.

I let more than 2 properties that are kept to a very good standard. Am I a cock? I don’t force anyone to rent them.

There’s a housing crisis because of people like you.

Paying the price for being a waster at school are you ?
No need to be bitter towards the folks that have strived to get ahead in life. You should think back to that maths lesson about compound interest and money makes money and ponder what could have been.

Happy to discuss how much I earn over PM if it really bothers you but I have two degrees and earn a fair sum above the UK average.

I’m not jealous, nor am I interested in the accumulation of wealth for the sake of it.

What bothers me is people hoovering up properties to rent out when we have a housing crisis. It only perpetuates inequality.

The same people will be asking why young people aren’t getting themselves to work and buying houses. You own all the houses!

People have homes they can afford because of me.

But not homes they own.

And you.
Housing crisis round here? Is there shite loads of houses for sale, and mostly very affordable. Kids nowadays don’t want to buy, or can’t be arsed to save up for a deposit. Either that or don’t want to start near the bottom of the ladder like I did and my mates did.

Almost got a full house* on middle-aged landlord bingo here

“There’s loads of houses!”

“Kids nowadays don’t want to buy”

“They can’t be arsed to save”

“They don’t want to start at the bottom”

Go on then, hoy your payslip up.

Contractors are serial tax avoiders. Everyone knows it.
You sound like a bitter, salaried employee who works with contractors and is jealous as fuck at their supposed "massive wages" and constant "tax dodging"

Friend of mines just bought a 5 bed new-build in Hampshire for £550k put a decent deposit down, letting his current home in west London which is paying the new house mortgage in hants

I don’t know a single contractor. There’s really no bitterness at all. I have nothing to be bitter about when it comes to what contractors earn, though I do think they’re sly tax dodgers.

What would happen to those properties if they weren't "hoovered up" by people? Do you think they would be given away for free??
