Without any doubt. ^We’d have been Brighton and you know it
I'm inclined to think that, a complete one-off.Legend. Never see his like again
Typical SAFC.We turned down Bill Shankley as well and gave the job to Alan Brown the man who relegated Sunderland twice.
As much as i dislike Cowie. It was Keith Collings who said he didnt what the likes of Clough at the club.
Most movies are that way. Otherwise they’d be documentaries. I really enjoyed it and thought the casting was mint.Watched the actual interview with him and Revie and as far as what they put in the film re that scene it was a million miles away, iirc there was a lot of criticism about large portions of the movie being not true to life.
For a start we wouldn't have had to get a result against Chelsea at home last game in 62-63. We'd have been promoted with games to spare.I always wonder what would've happened if he didn't get the career ending injury.
(SAFC would probably have flogged him cheap)
Great pic. Me da used to drink in the Legion on Stockton Rd and Clough used to get in. Me da reckoned he was a class bloke, but it helped that he’d idolised him on the terraces.
I actually kna the priest who hoyed that pic up he’s the one who gave the pope the Sunderland topGreat pic. Me da used to drink in the Legion on Stockton Rd and Clough used to get in. Me da reckoned he was a class bloke, but it helped that he’d idolised him on the terraces.
