Last time I was there I ended up in a 24 hour Turkish bar until 5am with some random people I'd met, had 2 hours sleep then had to get up for my flight home.

Had a great few days over there though. Know some people that have been and weren't keen (think they just wanted a strip full of bars like Dusseldorf) but I really enjoyed it.

It has been around for the last 15 years: The Yaam, short for the Young and African Arts Market. And ever since the Yaam has been an important part of Berlin's leisure culture.

Looks like you should've kept walking up the road to the Holmark one instead - was a good spot.

As for for the AMEX - just used up a load of my points for Business Class flights to Vegas. Also need to spend a while building the points back up to get back to the levels needed in the future!!!
