A few signings under Mowbray said they’d spoken to him a good few times. I remember Triantis saying it for example.

While the manager/coach doesn't pick the players he will still play apart in getting the lad to sign or not. The player will want to meet and talk to him he's the one he's playing for after all. One thing that we've been told is Beale has the gift of the gab.
