Yeah, not really bothered about it myself. Very much an "After the Lord Mayor's Show" feeling. It comes between the T20 World Cup and a much more important tour of Pakistan - and certainly not worth getting up at 3am for. With a much changed team it's not surprising that the performance hasn't been great.

I reckon they’ll just see him as an alternative to Root at 3, maybe open if Roy doesn’t find some form soon?

Didn't think Malan was too bad (relatively speaking) in the disaster Ashes campaign. Am I right in thinking he missed the West Indies tour because he had a child and just hasn't made his way back in yet?

I can't believe he didn't get a look in in the summer, especially as he was one of a couple to leave Australia last winter with some credibility.
