Another London stabbing

And some people love to slag off Sunderland in the same way as some slag off London. Both sides tend to be speaking from ignorance, or have an agenda.

I don't feel as though I'm going to be filled in every time I go out in Sunderland, nor do I feel the need to wear a stab vest when I'm in London.

Well I can tell you that there isn’t a London Message Board with weekly threads posted about Sunderland, its crime rate and how much it costs to buy a pint in Ashbrooke.

That’s the difference.

It’s what I have witnessed. I have no idea why but in Sunderland there is always an atmosphere that something is going to kick off. Don’t even get that in Newcastle so it’s not a north east thing either.
Don't you drink around the Dun Cow/Isis and that?

Hold on a second. Is your internet persona the same as your real life personality?

Yeah, I did in the 90's and it was the same. Like I say, those opinions aren't very current.

Or perhaps it has more to do with the frequency that you went out drinking in town during those years?

People tend to be very stary like, it’s true.

No. I know and socialise with people of various ages and talk to them about such matters. The town is far less agressive/violent than it was 10 or 20 years ago. As are a lot of towns/cities tbf.

Fewer people going out, people drinking less and younger people having other things to do then. Fair enough.

Some are just speaking from experience.

Exactly. My experiences differ from yours. You think it's a violent shithole and I don't.

Where? I don't think Sunderland's particularly violent compared to other towns/cities of a similar size, but I haven't really been to many.

I can only comment on where I've been. I think if you're comparing two places it's worth listening to someone who's lived in both, whether you like what they have to say or not.

You always seem to be near all the bother...

No I don't. I've had two fatal stabbings close to where I lived at each time, and I (along with another poster on here) know the family of a bairn who was stabbed.

Save the childish shite just because I've been effected by things that clash with your experiences mate.

I was jokingly trying to insinuate you were responsible for it.
