Wouldn’t blame him if he did leave. The useless pricks in positions of power at our club don’t know their arse from their elbow.

Must be quite disconcerting to have meetings with the Napoleon Dynamite/Robyn Arryn hybrid and his band of merry men.
We've just been promoted and are sitting 5th in the championship the club have backed Neil with some very good signings I don't get your post tbh

Thanks for the PM (you know who you are).

A lot of folks are going to experience strong emotions at 2pm!
Well that didn’t help
Either because he’s off or because he’s staying ..well done

People still don’t understand how bookmakers work do they
Yeah…I know how bookies work.
They sometimes lay very short odds to give the impression that those odds genuinely show the chances of ‘the favourite’ is where the clever money is….rather than, say, those further down the betting….one of whom is the REAL top choice.

BUT…I also know that they shorten the odds on someone or something they think might happen to cut their losses should it come to fruition.

Again…personally I think that this is the former and Neil as odds on fav is a red herring to get punters off the scent.

We can’t be naive about this. We’ve been a basket case of a club for years. Yeah we should be aiming to be Premier League but Stoke were there not too long ago. They might be selling him all kinds in terms of transfer budget and his own salary. That’s why we need him on a long-term deal which should’ve been sorted a while ago.
They have wealthy owners but they spunked money as badly as we have, without results, and have had to pay off their latest managerial casualty. I feel like they are offering him a better work environment rather than purely financial gains

Are the Athletic usually reliable with you?

I just don't get it. I'm as passionate and partisan as they come with Stoke, but equally respectful to other clubs and would like to think astute enough to realise the potential of both of our clubs. I just don't see what's in it for him to leave you for us?

Preston years ago with respect I could see, but not this move.

Higher wage and autonomy I imagine.

After 5 years of improvement in terms of style, attacking intent, results and league placings, yes. Lost his way in the end like many can.

It just gets tiresome being a supporter of a club where you are pigeon holed with certain managers just because of the success of one man 14 years ago.
I'd have enjoyed watching us play the style Stoke did in the early years under pullis. Apart from the thugs at centre half you played decent exciting football.
