Thats it like.Be interesting if he says hes interested and wants to speak with Stoke and they appoint someone else. How will people react to him at the next match.

If he does go…the Kid won’t be there either. For this to come out so close to a game is bad. He won't be there tomorrow and it'll be all done by tonight imo
Good to have a bit of optimism on the rollercoaster of supporting Sunderland. An optimistic take on things might be this.
Stoke have asked for permission to speak to AN and it’s a condition of his contract that he can speak to clubs who make an approach this way.
The talks haven’t taken place yet.
Once Stoke revealed their interest the owners here schedule an emergency meeting with AN this morning in order to thrash out a new deal to ensure he stays.
No idea what’s going on but here’s hoping..
Pretty much nail on head. Wasn't anyone first choice. But for whatever reason he's a good fit and in typical Sunderland style will probably end up short lived. Hopefully we don't make a moyes appointment who undoes the momentum in a couple of weeks and also the board have their next man in quickly so that the coaches don't undo the good work (which happened last season)1 defeat in around 20 league games and that was to one of the favourites away from home and 10 men for over an hour. And the opp were happier with the FT whistle.
Sometimes a manager suits a club and AN seems well suited here.
What broken promises??Shit package, broken promises, working for a fella with less than 1% of his ability. Pure speculation on my behalf of course
Yes I would.
He's mentioned it himself, the route the club want to go down. He knows and knew what the job was. If he leaves then it's of his own accord. Even if he's asked to talk to Stoke I'd move him on.
He defo is pissed off with our recruitment.I’ve just heard from a reliable source that he is very unhappy with how he perceives his contract and, lies about certain signings from the penny pinching board. There are some EGOs in there that believe he is replaceable. This is rotten to the f***ing core.
I'd like to think he wouldn't be in charge for the next matchBe interesting if he says hes interested and wants to speak with Stoke and they appoint someone else. How will people react to him at the next match.
Could be a savvy shout as next manager mate. Baptiste sounds qualityIf it's any consolation, when playing football manager 22, my hotshot assistant, Alex Baptiste, always got headhunted by clubs, I always told him I wanted him to stay but allowed him to talk to clubs.
He told me he respected my understanding and always came back. This was at Exeter too if that helps

He must have had a say in the types of players he wanted otherwise wouldn't be here. They've just signed that new lad and he was singing his praises.Bringing in his own players? Are we sure about that?

Yup. If that was to be the case, it would be crazy to let him take chargeI'd like to think he wouldn't be in charge for the next match
Just said exactly that to my mate hope he comes out and says he’s not interested fingers crossedReally hope to see his 'dont give a fuck' face as he says to some journo "its all a load of rubbish as far as im concerned" in this press conference.
Please.
Let's hope it's just leverage to get a better deal. It's not like KLD and his lingering cohorts are too willing to give him a long term deal and upset the business model- therein lies the problem. Rigid structures designed to keep the boat afloat but unwilling to venture into unchartered waters.Limited ambition. It’s the backwards step. I just don’t understand it.
Even if he signs a new deal and this was just a ploy he will be semi-tarnished amongst us now. I remember Rooney doing so at Man Utd and his reputation never properly recovered.
It is just so depressing. The second things look good they turn to shit overnight. I can’t comprehend what is going through Neil’s head. Was really looking forward to Norwich too.
