That was a long and dispiriting game for us.....we hardly got a touch over the 90 minutes In a very one sided football game.

Never felt as confident going into a play off final.
I knew we were a very good side, just needed to ā€œturn up on the dayā€ and if we did I was confident we would win.
First 5 mins it was even then the diamond formation got the ball and we looked class.
Tony Norman was outstanding that game.

How the mighty have fallen mate, so depressing right now. I have virtually blocked STFC out of my mind, almost in hibernation mode until the parasite sells the club. Fingers crossed.

Won't forgive their owners anytime soon for being part of that ESL debacle, but have nothing but respect for their fans.

Was in their end at Wembley and they were all absolutely spot on. They are still humble from those days of struggle in the late 90s.

Walked through Moss Side once by mistake before a match at Maine Road and all that happened was some lad barged into me. Now if that doesn't tell you City fans love us I dont know what will.

No mate - Burnage Boy
No disrespect mate but Mark Burnage Boy is the craziest name that I’ve ever encountered.

Yes your team was good, and outplayed us, but you didn’t abide by the rules.

I like Man City, probably from watching kinkladze, found their fans to be much better than the red half of Manchester, bitter set of bastards them lot
Good read on that thread on their forum

Was in the City end when we lost 3-2 in the 90's to get relegated. Their supporters wanted us to win to send Luton down (Luton sent them down with dancing David Pleat) but we of course did a Sunderland and grabbed defeafrom the jaws of victory
Was that when Denis Law scored the winning goal snd didn’t celebrate?

I always thought City were ahead of us in most things, but we always had a chance to beat them. Never forget the game at Main Road,in 1964. the pitch ice bound, we wore baseball boots and Crossan had a blinder, beat them 3-0. The FA cup tie in 73 was probably our finest performance, they had some great players but it was our year.
