Get taken over by some of the richest people in the world, you’re cut adrift in the league, sack your manager and go from conte/ten haag/Emery strong favourites to Eddie Howe 🙄

ouch 🤣

Cancelled all second interviews with other candidates because they were so confident of appointing Emery and, any manager knows they might be sacked if they don’t stay up. Who is going to take it under those circumstances 🤔😀

Cancelling the second interviews was just daft really. Although Howe will probably still join them, I can’t see him being overly happy about the process and even less so about the relegation clause.

On the Guardian podcast yesterday they questioned the managers they were being linked with given their position. Although Howe is probably better then Emery for a relegation battle, an appointment like Hodgson would make more sense.

I don't think it matters who is appointed, we'll be well adrift by January. Even if we can get the players in they won't gel fast enough to save us. Providing Sunderland keep their end of the bargain we'll be playing each other in the championship next season. We're doing our part, let's hope you fellas can get back on track and do yours.

As much chance of steve Bruce accepting responsibility of being rubbish at both clubs currently unfortunately

I'd quite like Eddie Howe 🤷🏻
Looks like he’s your only option now.
The issue is when he wants to sign a player what is the model to follow.
A young player in a long contract, an older more experienced player who will have zero intention of moving on.
Whoever comes in will naturally want to implement there own choices.
Once Amanda gets out of her own arse and decides she wants a DOF they will decide the direction the club must head, not Eddie or whoever gets appointed.
Would you not prefer Nuno if he wanted it?

I wonder how they’d react to Hodgson 🤔

Didn't realise the was a dysfunction junction station near St James

Just say it as it is Keith, they are amateurs.

The news Toon fans feared'

Sky Sports News reporter Keith Downie:

"It's the news Newcastle fans didn't want to hear this lunchtime, and the news they feared for most of this morning.

"There's nobody working within the new consortium that has been involved in a football club before, so this is all new to them. There are teething problems for them, and maybe they'll look back at this in months to come and think there were some mistakes at the start, but that is often the way with new owners coming in.

"The biggest surprise, for me, is that they haven't looked to bring in a chief executive, football director or sporting director yet. I think if you get someone like that in, who is used to dealing in these circles, it can be easier to bring a manager in.

"But you have to remember it's all new to the consortium, and it's something they'll have to get used to.

"It's also not a football club that is in a healthy position - they are sitting second bottom of the Premier League and there is a real threat of relegation.

"Do the consortium look again at someone like Unai Emery, someone who is held in very high regard and has won trophies, or someone who can come in on a temporary basis and get them out of the relegation zone in the Premier League?

"I think the consortium would like a big name here, but they are now going to have to change their attention to elsewhere. You have to say, the shortlist they had is ever shortening.

"There are two outstanding names - one of them is Eddie Howe, out of work and would be a fairly easy appointment, and would come in a heartbeat, and the other is Roberto Martinez of Belgium. They have the issue of trying to get him out of his contract, but not as expensive as Unai Emery.

"Newcastle caretaker boss Graeme Jones has worked with both Eddie Howe and Roberto Martinez - so both are a natural fit."
They've wanted the club for ages surely they knew 2yr ago what sort of people is needed to run the club

Horror Fyass and her mates 😂

Also Downie is a wanksplat

Another day, another

A mag has joined our team recently, known him for years. Anyway, talking to him yesterday and he told me about Eddie Howe and I started laughing

"Ow man, its only til the end of the season, then we'll get a big name in"

"A big name to manage you in the championship like?"

"F*** off"
In for a huge shock but typical mag mentality
Off with her head!
She'll look much better without it

I wonder how the top teams around Europe have taken the news of this takeover? I can’t see them being particularly happy the Saudi state and their unlimited pot of cash are now in the mix. I’d like to think they’re having an influence on this lack of activity. Potential managers warned they won’t be sold any decent players etc. I’d be very surprised if they just lie back and have their tummies tickled.
