Not word for word but you have to break the truth at some stage.
I’d be telling them it’s’ not about money, it’s about trying to become the number 1 in your chosen sport, the motivation should be love and enjoyment not money.
I suppose the only way for a women to earn the same amount as Cristiano Ronaldo is to aim for true equality.
Once you have women competing in the same teams as men…then the they would be paid massive wages progress they are earning it bringing in the revenue.

So the next question is why aren’t a small proportion of these people attending matches.
Actually Arsenal are the one successs story, they are easily the best supported team in world football currently averaging 28K.
The next best supported team is Chelsea averaging just over 10K. Most teams in the women’s top flight average 2K and 3K.
So how to you turn interest into paying customers? Arsenal have done it, so it shows it’s possible.
Jack Grealish was sold for £100M with a salary to match.
The other week a women's player went for £1M.
Why are they not being paid the same?

I went on the BBC main football website last week and the headline was “Chelsea break world record transfer fee”
For a split second I’m thinking back the Abramovich era when they had money to burn, thinking has Chelsea bought Neymar Jnr or maybe Bellingham.
I was keen to read the report to see who Chelsea had bought.
Then I read the detail and instead of buying Neymar Jnr for £250 million
they’ve bought some unknown American women for £1 million. Felt like I’d been had. I’m sure the BBC do this deliberately ha ha.

They’ve got the same chances to progress to the top of their chosen sport - women’s football. I’m not talking about money. If they’re not happy about the money on offer and that is their motivation - which again is dictated by market forces - then choose a different occupation.
All joking aside mate, you often go to watch the lasses with your daughter. I bet threads like this are really disheartening for you.

No I wouldn’t, I would want her to enjoy what she wants to enjoy. But when she started to give women’s football far more relevance that it commands in the world of football, I would point that out to her.
