If the umpire gave the soft signal as out then it was in favour of the bowler/fielder and if gave it not out the favour of batsman.

Then if it was inconclusive on the technology via third umpire. Then it would stay with the soft signal.

The only logic is they hoped with the ball still a bit newer. Then the other 3 more in the game.

But he had his tail right up. So a missed opportunity.

Yes, I know that but given the soft signal no longer exists are we back to how it always used to be i.e., benefit of the doubt goes to the batsman
 
England have gave themselves the best chance at winning and if it's not to be, so be it.

Still think England are heavy favourites and just need a couple more tonight ;)
