4th Ashes Test - Old Trafford

Beat me to it

Ironically we win when Smith wasn't in the side (there best player)
We lose Jimmy for the series (arguably our best bowler in English conditions - although Broad has been great)
I really think with no Smith we would have been chasing around 300 runs maximum from the first innings.

The Aussies are better than us, pure and simple. It’s a minor miracle they haven’t already retained the Ashes, but the end is nigh.

I personally think England have battled very admirably all series (bar the 67 nightmare), and have done very well to be 1-1 with a test and a day left.

Few players would have survived a first baller like that

Best one I saw was Ryan Harris very first ball of the 2014/15 5th test 2nd innings against Cook. Inswinging 90+ mph top of off. Don't know if anyone remembers it.

So good Cook nodded his head in acknowledgement to Harris.

In all seriousness you cannot blame anybody for ruining Ryan Pringle.
He is without doubt the architect and builder of his own ruination
Thereis a huge difference between criticising someone's individual record and criticising and individual dismissal you haven't seen anyway i was correct about Pringle.

Australia other than smith have a better batting average.
Our openers have a better average.
Our middle order have scored a bit better
Keepers have been similar both playing st least one important innings.
Bowlers 2 of our bowlers have matched theirs (proves how much we miss Anderson)
And then you have Smith well that’s the two reasons I posted earlier. And they look to be the game changers.

But what it’s and buts Australia have took catches and chances better.

A key point to be honest

The convicts have been consistently better than us in the bowling and batting in the whole series
We have had individual highlights and brilliance on occasions but overall their consistentcy of performance as a unit has been better than ours

Slight exaggeration of the nod (I was only going on past memory), but it was pretty much the perfect first delivery. :)

Beast of a delivery

Again though Smith could have gone early with a bit of luck - just the way sport goes sometimes. Still feel on the whole there isn't much between the sides other than Smith and their change bowlers

There is very little between the teams, apart from one man.
