Anyone stuck getting back, trains cancelled from Leeds
I can't even begin to imagine how class it would be to be there.
They had 2 to get and stokes got 8 first dig.I don't think he watched the game tbh. Stokes duck in the 1st innings? Sure the second review was when they had 8 left to get too.
You dont have your eleventh man in for that length of time with 73 runs required and still win it. I cant actually believe what happened today. When I walked into the SoL yesterday we were 20odd for 2, and pretty much dead and buried.
When Woakes was walking back to the pavilion, we were dead and buried.
When Broad was yorked, this time we were definitely dead and buried.
It just defies believe that we won that. Denly and Root yesterday fighting to build the platform, then Stokes and Bairstow holding it together this morning, then this afternoon and everything that was.
359, you just don't chase down that. You don't score 67 in your first innings and win, you just don't. 131 years ago that anyone scored less than that in the 1st innings and won.
Still can't believe it, staggering. Cricket man, what a game.
sometimes it is just your day.watching it again on Sky...that bolloxed runout from Lyon.....un f***ing real man
The full mental disintegration of Glenda McGrath in all its glory. I listened to it live and must of ignored the cunt.Last hour on BBC sounds.
TMS at the Ashes - Super Stokes Saves The Ashes - The Final Hour - BBC Sounds
The final hour of Ben Stokes' historic innings which kept the 2019 Ashes series alive.www.bbc.co.uk
I've watched the highlights 3 times, the debate, everything, now enjoying this.
Agree, thought that in real time. Few on Twitter saying the same, looked at best umpires call.On second viewing, I can understand that decision by Wilson (Stokes LBW). In real time there was a very short space between the ball pitching and it hitting the pad, and on the angle I don't think he could give that out. Hawkeye attributed some kind of weird inswing to it after impact as well which I'm not sure was quite right.
Less understandable was Paine's decision to review the one that pitched a foot outside leg. You have to think far more clearly than that at this level, I'm afraid.
And Lyon's drop...the definition of "choking". What a shame.

I agree mate, the Aussies reaction after picking themselves up was to be admired. We as amateurs viewing the proceedings and being blown away by the whole affair is one thing, for a bunch of hardened pro's with the bitterest of rivalries to be blown away by Stoke's innings says it all and is a true measure of what was achieved today. Something very very special indeed. God I love and will always love Test Cricket...I still can't quite believe what I saw today (yesterday).
I am many, many cans into a bbq day and my judgement may be slightly off, but I can honestly say I have never seen a finish to a Test match quite like that.
Unbelievable - for many, a once in a lifetime experience. I can remember 1981, but I think this eclipses even that.
Just for the record, I thought the Aussie players were superb at the end - even Warner was one of the first to congratulate Stokes and Labuschagne's reaction was classy.
The series is alive - let's hope the momentum has now swung back towards England and we put it to bed in the next two games.
Glenn is class he was living every ball. The full mental disintegration of Glenda McGrath in all its glory. I listened to it live and must of ignored the cunt.
Fabulous.
Keith Miller?Remarkable. Can't believe it. How do we keep finding these big moment, alpha male, hero all-rounders?
From Botham, to Flintoff to Stokes, the Aussies haven't managed to find a single one. Nor anyone really, Wasim Akram is about the closest anyone else has come.
!)20 odd overs into the game and England are written off
Is Leach’s 1 one of the greatest innings ever?

Every ball he faced he had to clean his glasses! No wonder Stokes couldn’t watch every time. Took some serious guts.
Credit to Glenn McGrath and Jim Maxwell for remaining professional and sporting throughout, especially towards the end.
Classic Aggers if anyone wants to listen
Maybe the hawkeye operator is English, knowing no reviews left, fudged the tracking?Agree, thought that in real time. Few on Twitter saying the same, looked at best umpires call.
