2nd test Old Trafford

Technique aside, imo Burns can't come back for the simple reason of getting bowled first ball round his legs in the Ashes, and then giving up facing first to a guy who had played about 5 tests. Loser mentality. Sibley is probably the best we have and is at least half capable of seeing off the new ball, even if he scores at a snail's pace
That ball had a big mental impact on burns so don't think anyone could disagree about him being dropped, but I think he's worth another go

Inside edge. Look at the field now, at their top batsmen

please, please, please Ben , do this at 7 down

Very tight start. Few plays and misses. Robinson and the Lancashire bowler, whose name, I dare not say , bowling
Not watching or listening to the game but I can imagine the Karate Kid's in the huff about not opening the bowling with the 40 yr old.Whats on the menu for day one of a Manchester test 🤔 Ham and Pease Pudding stotties,Hot Pot,Eccles cake washed down by a couple of bottles of Newton and Ridley 😉

Exotic. Having a Chinese takeaway , later in the day

Kylin in Albany

this is a superb start now. Tight accurate stuff, giving nothing to score off

Lucky, just wide of fourth slip by petersen, for four down third man

this is the field I want when we get down to 7

10 for 1 off 6

I like the control that Robinson brings as an opening bowler. Broad is great, of course, but he’s prone to bowling leg side rubbish early on.

Agreed. He will get something in these conditions after these two have bowled for an hour or so
