James Anderson Watch in Australia

didnt sulk at all, as I previously said, problem with Jimmy is he is still the same hit and miss bowler he has always been

yet again has gone missing in a big game. You were trying to convince people we did well to bowl them out for 260 odd, which was then shown up to be complete crap

so you havent read any of the posts but decide to have a cherp anyway, reason why I dont come on here that much anymore, dont mind having a conversation with someone who has a well thought out opinion like Rentaghost but not people who just jump on the badwagon without actually having anything to say

Anyway coward - Tremlett and Anderson have been very good in this match. Taking 20 Australian wickets for under 600 runs isnt why we will lose this match. The pitch has played just about the same all of the way through this match after the first morning and Stephen Finn's and Swann's failure to keep a lid on things at key times was largely the reason why they have managed to get the modest totals they have.

187 all out on a true bouncy pitch is the reason for defeat here. We have bowled reasonably enough.

its a bit fanciful to suggest Tremlett and Jimmy have had similar games. Tremlett has been by far Englands best bowler. Even by your standards, your clutching at straws.

England bowled first as it was bowler friendly. They should have been all out for 200

I would suggest Jimmy and Swann have had 3 bad days

This is when you really need them, a bowler down, two novices in the attack with them and the novices outbowled both of them when the Ashes were in ourr grasp

If ever they have a bad day thats what you would say. Did they not really need them in Adelaide like

Jimmy has bowled either OK or very well all tour.

Jimmy has bowled well in flashes and looked rank ordinary in other periods...same old Jimmy

The fact that Finn and Tremlett either have more wickets or a lower bowling average highlights how poor our leader of our attack is.

You only need to get a couple of wickets now in the Aussie side and the rest are like a pack of cards.

No wonder the Indians hammered them in both tests

And would have been Coward if Finn could have shown just a bit of control. Anderson was good in this match 4/120 at the WACA at 2.5 an over on a quick bouncy pitch you would take - Geoffrey Boycott has been full of praise for the performances of both him and Tremlett in this game. Jimmy was good, Tremlett was excellent.

The same indians that Jimmy has an average of 27 against in their own back yard

Re Finn backs up my point of how people were getting carried away after 8 ''test'' matches against whipping boys of the clubbies and fraudsters.

Cant believe how many people thought England had the bowling to win a series in Australia even against a woeful Aussie side

I believe we both went for 2-2 draws

I couldnt give a fuck what Fletcher or anybody else says this is not a woeful Aussie side

Was only a couple of years back they won a test series in SA iirc

How many of that team are playing in this match?

We did Coward which means you feel that England have the bowling attack to claim two wins in Australia which will be enough to retain the Ashes and quite possibly to win it given the slow, dull drop in pitch at the MCG

or if you apply my logic, realised that the wickets would be more bowler friendly than people anticipated as neither has the attack to take 20 wickets on a flat road and the Aussies would hedge their bets and produce more Oval type wickets as the series progressed.

Anyhows, you have said your piece, ive said mine, we move on, we dont agree, we will never agree, dont want to upset the natives by constant bickering, see you at the MCG

stand corrected, but that series was over 3 years ago

Queue him calling you a band wagon jumper etc etc.

probably, he must have been gutted when we were flying.....

why someone buzzes off his own country doing well is beyond me.

we have been shite for many a year, surely he'd be delighted when we occasionally do okay?

hopefully we bounce straight back next test and he will retreat again.

f***ing cozmo

Because he's on a wind up and it's getting all too predictable.

Or to put it another way, Jimmy has more wickets or a lower average than any other bowler in the squad. To claim the Anderson has been 'rank ordinary' is showing yourself up, he's easily been the pick of the bowlers.

And if Broad is England's best player, why didn't he show up in the 1st match, or the 2nd before he did his ribs. Injury prone, not good enough, goes missing in the big games etc etc etc repeat ad nausem until everyone is dizzy......
