Maddest football opinions

Talking to a mag at the gym last night apparently all our players aren’t that good, it’s a flash in the pan yet simultaneously loads of top teams will be signing roefs, brobbey, mukilele, xhaka and saidiki

Strange thing is he’s normally sound and never came out with this shite during the season…..all I can think is his heads gone after looking back at the season given we qualified for Europe, beat them twice and finished above them

Oh aye, I thought fredgaard was gonna be brilliant and was unhappy when we signed Niall Quinn, thought he was washed up.

One random thick mag comes up with something and they pile in with the same 'opinion' despite how stupid it is.

We have a very solid team, built on defence, with more than half a dozen excellent players. That isn't changing but apparently we are going to struggle 😂

When the England squad was announced a couple weeks ago, saw someone on this board mention that it’s the worst England squad ever. Plus comments the likes of “not getting out the group”.

Proper sad, negative bastards and you’d bet that if we got to the final, they’d be the first in line for the pub.

The captain of the Shields ferry has held a female mag supporters in the hold for three weeks to have his wicked way as he told her he was taking her to Milan.

Just enjoyed a few post work pints, and one of my colleagues, whose a Mag, said that we can’t lord it over Newcastle for the Saudi ownership because “you can’t keep looking into the past”, and he asked what the nationality of our owner was, and he said “well you can’t criticise us because the Swiss took Jewish gold” 🤯

Any other mental football opinions tonight then
It's an even more bizarre logic as I understand that Louis-Dreyfus family is actually of Jewish descent. However I do not know if any of the family still maintain that religion.

It’s mad how many of them say this, I had the exact same discussion with someone last night
It’s that superiority complex vast numbers of them have and they just can’t handle it being dismantled in front of their very eyes. It extends to ‘tha toon’ ‘jawdee nayshun’ no one can possibly have anything better than them and especially not Sunderland.

They just simply don’t know how to handle it and then come up with absolute shite to try and justify it in their own minds.

Spoke to a few who are a lot more sensible who recognise that right now we have some excellent players, staff and owners, they don’t like it but they can see and recognise it…..vast majority however are in denial and it is f***ing glorious

I said that David Meyler, and to an extent Jack Colback, were both better than Jordan Henderson, when the three of them broke through.
Described the signing of Tore Andre Flo as the 'final piece of the jigsaw', and also thought David Bellion would turn out to be a world beater.
I remember the day they signed like it was yesterday. I proudly marched into Concord Wetherspoons, and put down a copy of the Sunderland Echo on the table in front of my mag mates, and told them "we're winning the league f*ckers!!". We didn't.

I noticed Henderson had 'time' quite early in his Sunderland career. All good midfielder have it, Xhaka and Le Fee for example. Hopefully Sadiki will continue to grow too.

Colback and Meyler were work horses, no real class.

How do you have time? You find space to receive the ball, your first touch is immaculate not allowing anyone to think they can pinch the ball. Then you have options, to play it quickly, to hold it, to carry the ball, to go left or right. The defender can't easily close you down because he has no idea what you are going to do.

Colback's first touch was OK, but he was very left footed closing down his options. He never had time like Henderson.

Le Fee and Sadiki are a bit different. They always keep the ball moving to avoid challenges, to give themselves time to pick a pass. Xhaka just glides through the game not unlike Henderson but it is easier to do it playing deeper where the pitch is less congested.

People who support two teams will never not be mad to me. Often Celtic/Rangers led which I find much worse than having a soft spot for a foreign club. You read some threads for those clubs on here and it is like we are playing

That's what you get for talking to him

We got into Europe through the back door 🤣 🤣 🤣

Must admit I thought he was a bit of a carthorse when he first broke into the Spurs team😊
We used to have multiple posts saying the same about Declan Rice . Multiple Posters just couldn’t see what he brought to the table.
They seem to have disappeared now like .
