Maddest football opinions

I seen a tweet during the Everton game that said Brobbey is weak and being bossed by Tarkowski obviously before Brobbey put him on his arse but how anyone could think Brobbey is weak is mental!
To be fair, I thought he was off that match. Nowt was going right for him, then he did the most Brobbey thing ever with the goal.

Had a Mag mate tell me, in all seriousness, we only finished above them as we beat them twice and, if they'd beat us twice, they'd have finished above us. Therefore they were still the better team.

Loads told me only Roefs would get in their team. Apparently Dan Burn is better than Mukiele, Alderete etc.

PSG only won the CL cos they beat Arsenal.

If Arsenal had won then they would have won CL 😂

Just enjoyed a few post work pints, and one of my colleagues, whose a Mag, said that we can’t lord it over Newcastle for the Saudi ownership because “you can’t keep looking into the past”, and he asked what the nationality of our owner was, and he said “well you can’t criticise us because the Swiss took Jewish gold” đŸ€Ż

Any other mental football opinions tonight then

Did you tell him that he is Jewish? A descendent of Alfred Dreyfus, a victim of one of the most notorious anti-semitic conspiracies in France.

The most common one from Mags i know (who are all sound lads btw and have been very complimentary about us), is that the premier league this year has seen a huge drop off in quality and next season when it picks up again we'll struggle. They keep mentioning the points totals for europe last season compared to this season.

Whenever i mention it's because us and Leeds have came up and took points of everyone whereas last season the promoted sides were guaranteed 4/6 points minimum...they have little to say

Talking to a mag at the gym last night apparently all our players aren’t that good, it’s a flash in the pan yet simultaneously loads of top teams will be signing roefs, brobbey, mukilele, xhaka and saidiki

Strange thing is he’s normally sound and never came out with this shite during the season
..all I can think is his heads gone after looking back at the season given we qualified for Europe, beat them twice and finished above them

Oh aye, I thought fredgaard was gonna be brilliant and was unhappy when we signed Niall Quinn, thought he was washed up.
Thats strange that, cos I had a mag mate that told me when we got promoted last season, that the squad wasn't good enough for the PL, but we'd be losing the likes of Neil, Bellingham, Pattinson, Roberts and Watson to PL clubs

I was happy with Howard Wilkinson at one point. I think we’d won one and drawn one and I wrote in a card to a girl I had started seeing “you’re the best thing that’s happened to me since Howard Wilkinson”

Anyway they’re both out of my life now

When Grayson went unbeaten in his first 3 games I actually thought he’d be ok too

1. I once said on here that Leon Dajaku would go on to play for Germany. He was/is that good in my eyes, we just needed to give him a run of games.
Bloody hell. I think you had more faith in Leon Dajaku than Leon Dajaku had in Leon Dajaku.
It’s mad how many of them say this, I had the exact same discussion with someone last night
The thing that makes me laugh about that "your players are shit" argument is that it just makes them look worse.

If all of our players are so shit, what does that say about you given that you lost both derbies and finished 5 places below them?

‘Wait until the big 6 come and buy them all then you’re fucked’

If they’re all shit like they say, why would anyone want to buy them?

My Grandad reckoned Paul Thirlwell never had a bad game and was vastly underrated

Someone on here once claimed Kenwyne Jones wasnt fast he just "has longer legs than anyone so covers more ground"

One random thick mag comes up with something and they pile in with the same 'opinion' despite how stupid it is.

We have a very solid team, built on defence, with more than half a dozen excellent players. That isn't changing but apparently we are going to struggle 😂

I think a lot of people from a lot of other clubs seriously underestimate how good a team we have built.

The more you watched us play against the top teams in the league this season, the more you realised just how good we were. We don't look at all out of place and the results didn't flatter us despite what some of the raw stats might have indicated.

We do need to strengthen the squad as a whole, especially with the additional matches next season, but our 1st choice team can go toe to toe with almost anyone apart from Port Vale.

People who support two teams will never not be mad to me. Often Celtic/Rangers led which I find much worse than having a soft spot for a foreign club. You read some threads for those clubs on here and it is like we are playing

The Rangers/Celtic thing I do find weird, especially on flags. Ive seen it at non league matches too. Flags with a non-league club badge and an Old Firm one too.

I kind of get having two clubs in some cases if theres a connection. I have a soft spot for Malaga. One of my favourite cities, I go almost every year and when ive been, Ive always taken in a game and been made to feel really welcome. Probably seen 6 or 7 matches over the years

Im not a Malaga fan, but my lad does have a shirt and keeps an eye on their scores. But id never have an SAFC/Malaga shared flag.

Likewise theres lads on this site who live in Bilbao but are MLFs. No problem in that. Why wouldn't you support your local club if you cant get to Sunderland all that often

Its the weird love of big foreign clubs people have no link to that I dont get.
