Can see if being very attractive but could be a lot worse to work for, not only that but pension gone no guarentee they’ll stick around
Be interesting to see what they do if they get no where near enough people they need sticking around

Shift allowance instead of 22% will be 12% hence 20k lumper
Loads saying they're going to take the 20k and stay line 1

So does losing 10% shift allowance equate to £20k over 2 years ?
 
Makes no sense to me once that 20k has gone your on a pay cut for rest of career if you need 20k that bad take out a loan then when it’s paid off your still on higher shift allowance it’s like the shittest bank loan ever your paying for it for ever

They have done it over 2 yrs to stop folk jumping ship with a lumpa.
 
So 10% less shift allowance is about £3600 per year less about £400 pension contribution too.
So unless your gonna leave once the repayment of the £20k lump sum penalty no longer applies it's a lose lose situation.
Tying yourself into lower wages for short term gain is madness.
So glad I'm not in there anymore.

If u haven't long service though. Its a no brainer . 20k extra over 2 years . Then bail. Loads of similar jobs alova mate . Similar pay scales as well
 
Why would Nissan give you money to stay at the company and do the same job ? I thought Nissan had a joint venture with Renault where they built Nissan cars ? Did that mean the Renault factory workers then wore Nissan work wear ?

Chinese if they agree will rent line 1 renault was in partnership with nissan owning 50% of shares bit if a difference

So Chinese give you money to leave Nissan, go and work for them. But then you go back to working in Nissan for the Chinese.
I've never heard such a half baked idea before. One word springs to mind, Cockjuggler !

I don’t really understand the logic behind this rumour.
There’s no shift allowance on line 1 currently and when there was late shift, shift allowance was 12% anyway.
Only 3 shifts get 22% shift allowance and they aren’t going to be going straight onto 3 are they.
The only sense I could make of this was if the new company took over line 1 and went straight to 3 shifts your saying that they would only pay 12%?
Isn’t gonna happen.
 
So the 10% difference in shift premium for TOB is roughly £300 for 2 to 3 shifts. So Chinese pay you £20k over 2 years, then they recoup that £20k in less than 3 years and moving forward are making a saving ? Why would you even consider that ? They must put a caveat in place so if you leave you'll have to pay it back. Then for future employee's they're knackered as the pay structure is already in place ?
