What’s 2 shift shift allowance and 3 shift? I can see them reducing both to cut the wage bill, lad in our place is on near enough 800 just for shift allowance alone and that’s man staff
Assuming he's on 22% three shifts allowance, to get £800 he would need to be on a basic of £3636.

That would put him on over £53K flat. Then overtime, he would be knocking on £65K for man staff. Didn't think that would be achievable.
Don’t do overtime work 3 shifts we don’t get any
My shift allowance is £600+ and been here no where near him probs half if I’m lucky

He must be on 4 shift rotation. Im on 3 shifts, and I get 700 shift allowance. Been here since 92.
If you’ve been here since 92 your basic wage should be at least £3300-3350.
Your 22% allowance for 3 shifts should be around £740.
I don’t know why everyone is getting so confused with someone’s comment earlier ‘the lad with £800 shift allowance’
Ok maybe more like £750-£800 but that’s the normal wage for man staff who started before 2006 on the higher wage before they dropped it by 15%.

If you started post 2006 and work 3 shifts your wage will be significantly less, if your started recently then significantly less again.

It’s pointless comparing.

That's just crack doing rounds today mate line 1 . Would be staggered 20k no doubt . Maybe 5k every 6 months over 2 years. We will see mate 👍

£20k taxed over two years or a similar amount untaxed in one go when they have to offer redundancies?

I suppose the former option at least there isn't the stress of finding a new job in a new place.

Stick or twist?

What does Nigel think of china
Maybe in 2016 when he talked of the "dwindling EU" and the need to trade more with the "big wide world outside the EU" he didn't mean little China 😆 and since then the US hasn't come baring gifts upon Brexit Britain like he said it would 😆.Not really much left to pick on is there? At least his buddy Loopy Lizzy got us a good deal with Mongolia to sell them our chickens.

Was it not pork

Was it not pork
Iirc the "pork markets" were separate and to do with China. The chicken deal with Mongolia allowed access to 11 Mongolian KFCs for UK farmers.A Brexit benefit of biblical proportions 😆.I doubt one chicken ever got exported.Allowing access doesn't mean a British chicken actually went there, same with pork to china.Top end beef/steak/fish etc then maybe.
