A hard fought point on Sunday away at villa then two very winnable games after that .

Imagine taking 13 points from 5 games, then going into the last 3 games of the season.. it would be utter madness

Man United, Everton, Chelsea - last 3 games , be absolutely bouncing if we are in within touching distance

So if that happens and we did manage to win the thing, whilst finishing 5th, then 6th place gets CL.

However, we just need to focus on Bologna before we even think of trying to beat Sunderland which is not going to be easy at all. And then we take it from there.

In short, there's no reason SAFC can't get at least a European spot of some sort.

Clear as mud 😂 but great season for you boys, wasn't the best of starts as I remember.
 
I hope you do it...what a story that would be.
Always had time for Sunderland AFC ...I'm old enough to have had the privilege of going to Roker Park many times and not feeling my plums for a week after .

We have been far far better than anyone expected. Right from Palace away in our 4th game, it was clear did not look out of place in the Prem. Man City away is perhaps the only time we have looked outclassed. But we need an excellent run of results to get 6th, and I can not see that coming unfortunately.

Out of the 6 games we have left, in the reverse fixture against the same teams we’ve won 3 (Forest, Wolves, Chelsea) drew 2 (Villa, we had 10 men for an hour and Everton, would have beat them if VAR did its job).

Hard games aye, but every game in the PL is a hard game. Lads will be highly motivated to get more points of the board for one of the European places.

I’m optimistic that there’s another 3 wins in our remaining run of fixtures.
 
The best thing is we finish where we are now and everyone will be happy

We are going onto these last 6 games with no pressure and no fear of any of them

No reason why we cant finish in that top 8 teams and go from there

We lost our 3 key players all at once and our form, predictably, fell off a cliff. 2 of them are back now and we look much better again. Although still miss Kamara. He is our Rodri if you will.

I have us for 4 more points. Which is still a great total imo.
